Jalapeno Poppers
Dale’s Jalapeno Poppers are the perfect tailgating snack!
Serving Size:
8-10

Ingredients
8 oz mild Italian pork sausage
16 jalapeno poppers
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
3 tbsp Dale’s Seasoning, divided
2 tbsp chopped chives
1 cup finely grated cheddar cheese
16 slices thin-cut bacon (about 1 lb)
32 wooden toothpicks, soaked in water
Directions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add the sausage and cook, breaking into small pieces, until browned and no longer pink throughout, about 6-7 minutes. Remove from pan and drain on paper towel lined plate.
  3. Slice each jalapeno in half, lengthwise. Use the tip of a small spoon to scrape out the seeds and white membrane.
  4. In a medium bowl, stir together the cream cheese, 1 tablespoon Dale’s Original Seasoning, chives, cheddar and cooked sausage.
  5. Fill pepper halves evenly with the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Slice each bacon piece in half crosswise. Wrap one piece of bacon around each stuffed jalapeno half and secure with a toothpick.
  7. Place peppers cut side up on a foil-lined sheet tray.
  8. Brush the bacon evenly with remaining 2 tablespoons of Dale’s Original Seasoning.
  9. Bake until the bacon is crispy and the peppers are tender, 20-22 minutes.
