Ingredients
12 slices of bacon
1.5 Tbsp olive oil
1.5 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
1 Tbsp Dale’s Seasoning, Original
1.5 Tbsp brown sugar
1 garlic clove, minced or pressed
1 lb bunch of asparagus, about 20-25 spears, trimmed
1/2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Cook bacon in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until just beginning to brown but is still pliable, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Drain bacon slices on a paper towel lined plate, then cut in half crosswise.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Spray the rack with nonstick spray.
- In a small bowl, whisk together Dale’s Seasoning, brown sugar and garlic, then set aside.
- Wrap half a piece of bacon around center of each asparagus spear tightly; secure both ends of bacon with toothpicks. Place on prepared rack, then brush spears thoroughly with the prepared marinade.
- Bake until asparagus is very tender and bacon is crisp, about 20 minutes.
- Remove toothpicks and place on a serving platter, then top with sesame seeds. Serve warm.
